I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
I graduated from Wilson College with a B.S. in Equine Facilitative Therapeutics, and Equestrian Management. This four year degree teaches students to be competent, knowledgeable horsewomen. I have held many internships and working student positions. I am certified in all three phases of PA Council for Therapeutic Horsemanship and have experience in Pony Club but never rated. My latest position has been at Over the Moon Farms as the Director of Instruction.
Currently I am working as a assistant trainer, and instructor at River Chase Farm in Virginia. My duties include but are not limited to exercising the training/sale horses as well as scheduling lessons.
I have over 10 years of horse experience. I have spent the majority of my equine career riding, training, and teaching horseback riding. I spent my collegiate career on the Intercollegiate Dressage Team (IDA), competing at training level, along with IDA, I also was a riding member and officer of both the Eventing and Drill teams. I currently own a 17.3 hh Irish Draft Cross, schooling him through novice level eventing, and Training level dressage. In addition to my personal experience growing up with horses, I graduated Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA with a B.S. in Equine Facilitative Therapeutics and Equestrian Management.
I have strong knowledge of teaching students of all ages through intermediate to advanced level riders. I have been the Director of Instruction at Over the Moon Farms in upstate New York, in that title I schedule all of the lessons, and assign the horses to best fit the suitability for the student. I also determine the training schedule for the horses, in order to keep them well schooled and lesson safe.
I have a passion for training, and retraining horses. I have brought my Irish Draft horse up from colt and have brought him through novice eventing. I have been taught and have adapted my riding to balance seat with an emphasis Eventing. I have a passion for teaching, and love to work with riders and horses of all ages and watch their progress. Overall, I have schooled horses through Training level dressage as that is what was most appropriate for the horse, and the needs of the program.
I have competed through training level in Intercollegiate Dressage Association. Also, have competed in jumper and hunters series in the Centre County, PA area. My last three years have been competing at Novice level Unrecognized events.
