I’ve done everything from breaking untouched 10 year old horses for pleasure to training winners of state medal finals and ribbon winners at USEF pony finals and Indoors. Currently located in the research triangle (Raleigh) of North Carolina but willing to relocate for the right fit.
Eager rider and former horse owner looking for work in the Southeast Florida area/ West Palm. I have been around horses my entire childhood and am looking to gain experience in the equine industry now that I am older. I am a quick learner, easily able to adapt, and have a natural passion for horses.
I am looking for home groom position. Closer to Hamburg area, the better. I can clip, plait, bandage, treat wounds etc. Willing to go shows too. I am a teamplayer, but can work solo too. Horses health is my main priority. I am looking for long time solution. Can lounge and i would be interested to get to ride some flatwork/hacking (not necessary, just wanting i could further my skills) I would need a live in-position and would be greatful if i can take my two wellbaved cats with me :)
I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
Efficient and competent in grooming, sponging off, cleaning tack, tacking and untacking, leading, ground work, destributing grain to horses, mucking stalls, simple fix's around the barn, cleaning barn grounds, taking horses out to grass and releasing/catching from pasture, advertizing (sale horses, lessons, leasing, tack selling, barn services), and testing muscle sourness and stretching legs and neck of horses.
I volunteer: feed four days a week in the afternoons and I clean stalls three days a week. Manage Saturday groom shift and clients who come in. I've done ground work and desensitizing to noise, flying/falling objects, crops/whips and ropes.
I've been riding English for six months, in the hunt seat/saddle seat discipline, at a well established Arabian/HA/AA barn. I've had a stall shift since May of 2015 and I worked the groom shift during the week (Monday and Tuesday) during the summer, but switched to the Saturday groom shift when school started. I started working one-on-one with horses in ground work in July, and I am very proud to say that I was the first person to properly mount the five-year-old I've been working with. I am very excited to start showing that gelding and someday purchase him. I've been working with another Arabian gelding to desensitize him to the leg straps on his winter blanket.
I do a lot of ground work. I've been helping break a five-year-old half-Arabian (desensitizing, riding, walking in harness). I can tack up quickly and efficiently. In ten minutes I can have a horse groomed, tacked and warmed up. I can give a quick basic presentation about my barn, what we do, what services we offer, etc. and I advertise to anyone willing to listen.
I am currently riding English hunt seat/saddle seat but plan to one day add western riding to my resume (My coach gets mad at me for having more of a western style to my riding anyway). I've been riding for six months as of October 2015.
I have not started showing yet, but plan to summer of 2016.
