I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
12 years riding experience. 9 years working in barns as a groom and barn hand. 10 years in the show ring. 6 years training horses. 6 years teaching students in Hunter Seat Equitation and Western disciplines. 2 years as a barn manager and riding instructor/head trainer.
Basic barn chores and horse care (t/o, muck, feed, farm maintenance, and emergency care), teach lessons, exercise horses, plan training schedules for horses in training, run a commercial trail riding program, and run a lesson program and summer camp.
I have been riding for 12 years and working in barns for 9 years. I have been showing for 10 years. I have ridden Western (Western Pleasure, Barrel Racing, Western Equitation) and English (Hunters, Jumpers, Dressage). I have experience in the AQHA circuit as well as Hunter Jumper circuits (locally rated B and C shows, some local A shows). I know horse first aid as well as human first aid and CPR.
I specialize in training Hunter Jumpers from start to finish. I also have nearly 6 years experience working with young horses and problem horses. In recent years I have developed a love of OTTBs and enjoy restarting and training them.
I have ridden almost every discipline. -Western Pleasure -Barrel Racing -Western Equitation/Pleasure -Hunters -Jumpers -Hunt Seat Equitation -Dressage I have taken lessons in all of these disciplines. The majority of my experience lies in training, showing, instructing, and grooming for Hunters, Jumpers, and Hunt Seat Equitation. I also am extremely familiar with the natural horsemanship techniques of Clinton Anderson and Monty Roberts. I can also drive horses.
I have shown in Hunters, Jumpers, Hunt Seat Equitation, Western Pleasure, and I have gamed (barrel racing, pole bending, etc...). Most of my experience in showing is grooming, teaching, training, and riding in Hunters, Jumpers, and Hunt Seat Equitation. I have not shown Western in several years, and would accordingly be a little rusty. I have also trained at horse shows, coaching students and helping with horse problems. I have shown green horses and horses in training for clients.
