Many years of horse experience
Currently I am unemployed but I have perviously worked as a stable hand/ Groom I completed the following
-Owning 3 horses on my family's private barn and the sole caretaker of them for 4 years. I no longer take care of them because I am currently in college. -Barn manager at a therapeutic riding barn for disabled children; I worked and schooled horses there for about a year. -Working student for a very reputable trainer in central New Jersey. There I tacked and groomed horses for the main ride, I also did general barn work, I also did some free lunging and regular lunging (halter & lung line) I have never used a surcingle or any other type of lunging system. I have also clipped and show prepped many horse and ponies for shows but I have never platied a mane before -Summer camps as an instructor for young children. -Attending Centenary University and equine studies major, at school I am on the IHSA team and the Hunter/ Jumper team as well. I am currently taking lesson twice a week at school and prior to this I have been taking lessons weekly for around 12 years.
I am interested in a working student or part time job opportunity because I am a student at Centenary University so I do not have time to work full time. Im interested in growing my experiences to better myself in this industry. At Centenary University I am equine studies major and I am currently taking lessons at the school, I am also on the schools IHSA team and there Hunter/ Jumper team.
I have been riding for 12 years taking lessons weekly, primarily riding English but I have some western knowledge and very limited dressage work. I mainly ride in the jumper ring up too level 1's but I am willing to show in any ring to gain experience. I currently riding with a trainer at centenary twice a week but I also ride with the schools IHSA and Hunter/ Jumper team.
I have show in mostly C rated shows due to not having a horse to take me to the higher levels and some financial issues, But I have shown up too level 0's in the jumper ring. I have also received the style award at several shows. I've also have 7 points on Centenary's IHSA team and only competed at one show and this being my first year on the team, I got a first place in the W/T/C division.I am only placed in the W/T/C division because I have no USEF show record therfore putting me lower.
