I have a bachelor's degree in Equine Business Management and recently finished my Masters in Business Administration.
I have a lot of experience teaching Hunter Seat riding and have studied the forward system of riding. I've worked in large lesson and show barns and small camp programs. I have experience in administrative work along with teaching and barn chores.
I started at a going age and grew up as your typical "barn rat". As a kid I did summer camp as a counselor every summer and eventually took that passion into college where I graduated from St. Andrews with a bachelor's degree in Equine Business Management. After college I was hired back as staff the following fall and have been there now since 2009. While there I've hosted many intercollegiate competitions including Western Semi-Finals, IDA Nationals in 2010 and IHSA Nationals in Raliegh 2012. I've also had the privilege to ride with clinitions like Scot Evans and Bernie Traurig.
My main specialty and passion is teaching. I've been teaching since I was about 15. i have thought children and adults of all levels from beginners through 3'. My teaching experience and riding background coupled with my education and administrative experience give me a unique and diverse skill set that would make me a great candidate for a variety of positions.
I ride mainly Hunter Jumpers but have some experience in Western and Dressage.
Before college I showed local in rates in mostly the pony hunters. I competed in the IHSA as a student for 4 years.
