I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
I have no formal qualifications, however I have just undertaken the Essential Horse Knowledge Certificate and have recently completed my Riding and Road Safety. I have had a good grounding on knowledge from the places i have worked. I would be willing to gain qualifications if job permits.
I currently work as a self employed groom. I have worked on all types of yards, livery, dealing, hunting, private, trekking/riding schools. I carry out all types of duties including yard work and riding.
I was brought up on the family owned equestrian centre which was sold due to my mother wanting to spend time with the family, my first job was as a groom for a family friend, who competed BE and showed hunters upto county level. My secand job was at a riding school where i carried out all possible duties including helping with the RDA class (voluntarily). I worked part time for a horse dealer where i did the initial stages of breaking also hacking out, schooling and help assess new horses. I Prepared horses for the sale to a high standard. I then broke and schooled horses at home while holding down a full time job and undertaking qualifications as a chef. I am now working as a self employed groom, I've worked on hunter yards, livery yards and for private family's. I still have horses of my own which I compete and hunt, whipping in for my local pack. I have also broken horses to drive which I found very interesting.
I'm fun and outgoing, however serious and take pride in the work I do. I pride myself in good turnout of all horses I have worked with at all levels.
I have backed youngsters and ridden them away, I have competed locally on young and experienced horses. I have this season been hunting two or three times a week and am exercising 7 hunters hunters daily.
I have competed my home produced 9yo at a number of hunter trials and local shows. I have also competed with my retrained race horse in local showing classes and hunter trials as well as show jumping to 1.10, I have now passed the ride on to my friend. At local level i have taken young horses to their first event with success.
