I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.

Being promoted to Tanya Kyle’s first groom gave me experience of working to a very high standard in tight timescales. I have travelled to France & Ireland. I have worked amongst very experienced, professional riders including the Irish Olympic team. Have had responsibility for supervising staff for nearly one year. This has involved organising the running of the yard for up to 8 members of staff & over 60 horses. Ensuring the yard in running effectively & that everything is up to date; including vaccinations, wormers, feed etc. Making sure that the stock is kept up and ordering more if needs be. Was involved in teaching one of the liveries 6yr old daughter. Greeted clients & answered their queries. I understand the importance of keeping my workplace clean, safe for the animals, staff & customers.
I have demonstrated through work experience that I am a reliable, hardworking, independent & versatile individual. Developing a wide range of skills & experience including working as part of a team, good customer service, caring for animals as well as children; being well organised to ensure that I complete my work on time. I enjoy the challenge of trying something new & pushing myself in both my horse riding hobby & at work. I always put 100% effort into everything I do.
