I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.

I have owned horses my whole life and competed alot when i was younger. I have a L3 extended diploma in horse management from Myerscough college. I have handled a veriety of different horses! Over the past few years i have taken i real liking to the breeding of horses. I have always enjoyed showjumping so am now looking to work in a showjumping stud opposed to a racing stud.
I am used to handling youngstock, stallions .I can do the basic clipping, plaiting, trimming and bandaging etc...I am able to train horses from the ground ( lunging and long reining) and can school to a reasonable level. I am currently working on a racehorse/warmblood stud and we already have foaled an exquisite little colt as of January 2018 and we have 6 more due shortly.
I would like to think I am a good rider, although there is always some improvements to be made. I am willing to ride all types of horses and I am very capable of groundwork lunging, long reining.
During school and college, I was very much into showjumping at unafilliated level. Now my family and I compete most weekends with our horses Showing/Jumping/ WHP, When not competing I groom for a friend who competes BSJA. I am used to very early mornings and very late nights when it comes to competing.
