I have no formal Equine qualifications however i do wish to go back to university and study an equine degree.
I currently have a BSc (Hons) Construction Management and Property Development 2:1 from The University of Derby.
I am Currently Unemployed however I have previously worked as a professional quantity surveyor for the past 8 years.
My Equine Experience started around 4 years ago when i learnt to ride through my Girlfriend. This then i have brought 2 horses one being a Gypsy Vanner that I was required to re brake and train which is a long and slow process with him being 14 and the other is a Ex Racehorse which I am also retraining under the ROR. I have worked part time on a livery yard and have experience with handling all different levels of horse, i have also undertaking all maintance side work and understand the level required.
When i purchased my first horse we was UN aware that the horse we was buying was a gypsy vanner as his passport has no DNA, he was sold to us as a bombproof novice but we latter discovered that he had been sedated when we viewed him and the 5 stage vetting did not pick this up. Since then i have learnt a lot very quickly as i have had to re break my horse as he was a driving horse. I have also ridden other horses some of which are ex racers that where undergoing re breaking.
