In May, I will be receiving my bachelor's in marketing. Because of my hard work and dedication to my schoolwork, I will be graduating with "Cum Laude" honors. My marketing degree will prove to be beneficial in your sales program, and any types of advertisements for boarding or training.
Lifting hay bales, blanketing/grooming/riding/lunging/feeding horses, traveling to competitions as a groom and competitor, wrapping horses legs and administering basic first aid, cleaning stalls, and day-to-day farm tasks
I have been helping manage stable duties since age eleven. This opportunity has provided me with a strong work ethic that I plan to implement. I have lots of experience traveling to 'A' Rated shows as both a groom and a competitor. At these competitions, I had to demonstrate good time management as well as putting in a lot of hard work in order to be able to ensure that mine as well as everyone else's horses were prepped and ready for their classes. I had the opportunity to work at several different show stables in New England. I also had the opportunity to spend my summers teaching the next generation of riders at a local barn near my hometown.
I spent one of my semesters in college studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain. Nearly every weekend, I was traveling to a new country and getting the opportunity to immerse myself in a whole new culture. This was such a unique experience and has taught me a lot when it comes to traveling, adaptability, planning, independence, and problem solving. My experiences will prove to be beneficial in aiding your stable with overseas competitions.
Since I have been riding for fourteen years, I have experience riding a wide range of horse types. I mostly focus on riding warmbloods but I have experiences with lots of other breeds and types of horses. As a working student, I aided my trainers by riding nearly every horse that came to the stable. This included trying out school horses for the program as well as exercising client's horses both on the flat and over fences.
I have competed in IEA from seventh grade to my senior year in high school. I have qualified for regionals every year and competed at zones and nationals multiple times. In 2017, I was the team rider for the winning team at IEA nationals. I also have experience competing at rated shows and finals such as Massachusetts Hunter Jumper Finals, Massachusetts Horseman's Council Finals, Rhode Island Finals, and the HITS Ocala winter circuit. I also have experience as a traveling groom at many venues.
