Associates of Applied Science in Equine Studies from SUNY Cobleskill; Bachelors of Science in Business Management from Franklin Pierce University
Daily care, feeding, turnout of broodmares, foals, and weanlings; breeding shed experience; vaccinations/medications; assisting vet & farrier; yearling prep; riding- experience with polo horses, western, and some jumpers; office management skills.
I have experience managing an educational farm with livestock and a herd of 10-16 horses, depending on the time of year. I also have experience managing a thoroughbred farm, and the office and paperwork that went alongside owning and boarding over 300 horses. I can teach beginner and intermediate walk, trot, and canter lessons, and am not afraid to get dirty and do the hard work.
I love working with horses in a variety of capacities. I can manage an office (I ran a thoroughbred office previously) and have had experience around stallions and in the breeding shed. I can also muck stalls, handle turnout, and daily feeding and administration of necessary vaccinations and medications. I also have the ability to apply bandages and wraps.
I've ridden both English and Western. Before college, I rode English, occasionally participating in Pony Club, and fox hunting with the barn that I worked at. I also went team penning and trail riding with friends. In college, I participated on the Stock Seat Team, and then after college I exercised retired polo horses and lesson horses.
