Started riding when I was 4yrs old . Been ranching my hole life using horses. Gathering cattle / horses/ sheep and goats. Dragging calves to the fire . Roping maverick cattle. Roping and doctoring wheat cattle. Started breaking colts at age twelve and still enjoy doing it to this day. Started helping my Uncle Ray Wharton 1956 world champion calf roper , train calf horses when I was 15. I still rope calves to this day. Started helping Oscar Bode train Bulldogging horses when is was was 17 love to to steer wrestle. I am a avid team roper I start three to five of my own horses every year . I keep the good ones and finish them out for my kids and family to rodeo on . we all enjoy riding.

My family owns and runs 1000 hd mama cow operation with a small 400 hd feedlot. We use horses on a daily bases doctoring sicks, gathering pastures, riding fence, and starting new horses. I have also gone off and rode wheat cattle for a couple of winters. I rodeoed professionally rite after Highshool for few years until I got married and started a family I now mainly just team rope professionally . I was a trail wrangler at The Dixie Dude Ranch one summer in High School.
