I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
Horse enthusiast currently holding four part time postions in the equine industry. In summery those include being a barn manager, equine vet assistant, rider/trainer, night feeder, all at different locations.
I have worked for boarding facilities ranging from 10-80 horses. Tasks included but not limited to stalls, feeding, turn in/out, groom, lunge, clip, bathe, equine first aid, medicate, set up feed, clipping/mane pulling and the list goes on. During the past few summers, I assisted in the care and training of foals on a small warmblood farm. My range of experience with breeds and genders is unlimited. With a history of employment at a veterinary clinic, I learned a great deal and saw a great deal. I assisted a vet focussed on equine performance so I have learned a lot about equine performance treatments and therapies. With my time spent as a vet assistant and the many years around horses prior to and after that position, my education in the horse industry has grown and continues to grow.
I have been involved with horses since the age of six. I started in hunter/jumpers and eventually made my way into the eventing industry. I have riding experience through prelim and 4th level dressage. I can jump a 3ft+ course comfortably. I have started a handful of horses including OTTBs, Welsh ponies, and warmbloods. I have a quiet and gentle approach to horses but am capable of handling all types and breeds.
Ive competed in Eventing (T) hunter/jumper (1.20m), Dressage(2nd), carriage classes as well as handled young stock at breed inspections. Although my competition history isn't all that extravagant, I have spent plenty of time working with and breaking out green horses and ponies. I enjoy the "ah Ha" moments and signs of progression with the young ones but also find plenty of satisfaction of a challenge on a higher level horse
