I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
I would say are your past or present clients. When you have great references that is all that is needed being they can give you the inns and outs on your performance as a trainer, rider or farm manager. Also on how you handle sales with buying or selling horses, etc. I have managed all aspect of not only my families farm but clients farms, organize and make all appointments for the farm, riders and horses.
I'm wanting to Manage a farm/ranch. Train horses at home, Manage Horse Farm and take care of all aspect from horses, riders and the staff. Manage clients and horses at horse shows. Make sure the horses and clients are getting the best care.
I started out training in the hunter division, trained six days a week. Went to the shows and then showed in the hunters, Eq. and Medal divisions. I was also the kid in the barn who would catch ride and show the older adult horses get the spunk out of them before the adult would get on them. I then had a horse that was just not a hunter so we started her out in the jumpers and that was it for me. I love doing it all with the horses from baby greens all the way to the level they are able to do. I went to Europe to train, ride and show at the smaller horse shows to having American clients come over to Europe to buy horses. I started going to Europe in my teens to buy horses and I got the bug then being it is a sport over there and it is completely different then over here which is the best of both Worlds. I will ride a horse galloping through the fields and then the next day train in the arena. I have always worked closely with the vets and farrier's so I know how to handle a emergency
Managing Private farms. For me the horse always comes first, also I match up the perfect horse with the rider a team. To feel when a horse is not one hundred percent and when a rider is having a off day. Managing a horse farm and being on top of the daily routine and making sure the employees are on the same page. Preventing a situation before it happens just being on top of things.
I have trained extensively in the Hunters, Eq., Medals, Jumpers & the smaller Grand Prix's divisions. Extensive flat work is 1 of the essentials tools for horse an rider. If you can not properly flat a horse then you can not even properly jump an X. I grew up riding Western, to riding polo ponies, then trained extensively in the Equestrian stadium circuit, trail riding and fox hunting first and second flight. Being on a horse is natural for me and was in my blood the day I was born.
Grew up showing in the Hunter, Eq. and Medal divisions. Then when onto the children jumper division and to the juniors and then the A/O's. When I moved to Europe I did my first small Grand prix and went from there, etc. I started out riding western and did team penning to playing with polo ponies then moved onto the show stadium competitions. I also fox hunt first or second flight depending on the horse or client who is riding in the field with me.
