Associate Degree in Equine Sciences (Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMass Amherst Class of 2014)
Stall cleaning, turnout, feeding, exercising horses, daily barn chores, farm maintenance, handling for vet/farrier
I have been riding horses since I was three, and competing on the "A" circuit in New England/Florida since I was 12. I have gone from junior equitation through the adult equitation, and Child/adult jumpers. I have an associate degree from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMass Amherst in Equine Industries. My current horse is a 17 year old TBxWB named Bolivar, and I've owned him for almost 6 years. Now we live the semi-retired life, enjoying beach rides and some light ring work together.
I have always primarily ridden hunt seat, as I grew up at a foxhunting stable. Before my current horse was injured, I trained with a German Grand Prix rider who helped me immensely in understanding riding theory better. In college, I was lucky enough to learn how to break and train their young horses, which were Bay State Morgans and registered Hanoverians. I am confident handling any size and temperment horse.
