currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
Due to a change in circumstances I'm currently looking for a part time riding role, 4 mornings a week, but can be flexible. I have over 16 years experience within the industry and have produced horses from youngstock up to intermediate. I'm happy to work with all sorts, from happy hackers to fit competition horses. Quiet but firm rider, who can deal with quirks if necessary. Ideally within 30 mins of Newark but happy to travel up to an hour for the right place.
From Showjumping, to showing/eventing and foals through to stallions I have experience in all aspects of the equestrian world. I am looking for my next long term journey where I can spend my days working with the animals I love, and carry out my exceptionally high standards for the right person.
teaching lessons, schooling horses, feed, water, barn work.
In my twelve years of riding I have overcome many milestones. Some small such as my first jump, or the first time I fell off, to big ones such as winning competitions and qualifying for the MHJ finals. For seven years I have served on my barns IEA team, and for three of those years I had the pleasure of being team captain. I competed up to two foot verticals in IEA, and three ft. six inches at summer shows. At home I would jump up to four feet, as well as work countless hours on the flat. Every summer since middle school I spend every hour at the barn feeding and watering horses, bathing them, teaching lessons, and organizing shows. For a semester I was on the American University equestrian team, but ultimately decided to take a year off from school.
While my heart belongs to jumping, I also love working on the flat. I'm trained most in hunter jumpers, but I've had experience with western as well as a little bit of dressage.
I've qualified for regionals in IEA, and outside of IEA shows I have qualified for MHJ finals, and have been placed champion in five shows total.
