Can lounge and i would be interested to get to ride some flatwork/hacking (not necessary, just wanting i could further my skills) I would need a live in-position and would be greatful if i can take my two wellbaved cats with me :)
I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
My duties included, but were not limited to, mucking, feeding, cleaning, lunging, long lining/ground driving, wound/injury care (incl. TheraPlate and Cold Laser therapy), managing feed, turnout, scheduling lessons, and monthly billing to clients.
I began Saddle seat lessons at nine years old, which instilled the horse passion in me! I graduated with an AAS in Equine Science in 2007, where I rode hunter/jumpers and also gained experience in many equine fields including breeding, mare/foal care, and some breaking & training. Once home, I began work at a small Saddlebred farm in Tampa, FL where I cared for a string of 10 show horses + many lesson horses, & assisted in managing the facility--inventorying and ordering feed and medications, managing farrier, vet and other appointments, as well as prepping animals and equipment for competition travel.
From Jan. 2016 to Nov. 2019, I was Operations Manager at a local Morgan farm; my duties were similar to the above, and also included teaching beginner/intermediate Saddle Seat/Hunt Seat lessons
My specialties would be grooming and management of both horses and the farm, as well as some client relations.
Saddle seat; Morgan hunters; Some driving/carriage experience.
I am not a competitor, and generally prefer to be behind the scenes caring for the horses and helping customers get prepared.
