For the last 3 years I have been running my own livery business alongside covering for yards on a freelance basis for holiday/sickness cover. We've chosen reduce the number of livery horses and to keep the yard for personal use so I am looking for regular hours to supplement this choice.
Prior to this my experience has been accumulated from yards of different disciplines & set ups (riding schools, livery yards, racehorse rescue, dressage & show jumping), owning horses (predominantly from rescue), dealing with different backgrounds & difficult behaviours that come from nervous & rescue horses.
Alongside my livery yard and freelancing, during the past 5 years I have been working with young adults with special needs; teaching them stable management and how to ride. I hope to continue this in my spare time.
My qualifications were achieved through study at Duchy College, Cornwall.
Can provide references.
