I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.

BHS Stage One BHS Riding and Road Safety Level 2 Diploma in Horse Care and Riding E2SE Course at The National Stud Level 2 Diploma in Race Horse Care, Breeding Option
BHS Stage 1
mucking out, preparing feeds, bringing horses in and out, sales preparation of yearlings, foals and mares. Assisting with vet and farrier visits.
Currently I work as a stud hand at Cheveley Park Stud in Newmarket. I have completed the E2SE course through the The National Stud and gained Level 2 Diploma in Race Horse Care - breeding option. I have worked with stallions at a private dressage yard before this, my duties included exercising some of the horses and going to shows as well as having lessons from a grand prix rider on weekends. I also worked on other livery and dressage yards (one with an Olympic rider) , one riding school and the very first yard I started my career at was an RDA riding school. Throughout this wider range of experiences I learned to work to high standards, how to care for big fit competition horses, handling stallions, mares and foals, and youngsters. Also gained more knowledge, understanding and experience in breeding thoroughbreds, and in dressage and was lucky enough to have some insight on how the horses are trained by Olympic and top level riders.
Flatwork and some jumping. Have been trained by a grand prix dressage rider for a few months that really improved my flatwork. Although I haven't ridden for a while, I would like to get back in the saddle and become a better rider that all horses deserve.
