I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.

I’m a non ridden groom, all my tasks are feeding, turnout, mucking out, yard duties.
I have family and friends who own horses. I used to help out at a private farm working with horses doing general work such as mucking out, turnout horses and bring them in, exercise them, prep for shows as well as other jobs. I volunteered at my local riding show to gain experience what it was like and be able to cope with the busy schedules. I also have some family members who own horses, a few were rescued and in my spare time I used to train them. I have basic knowledge about horse care but I like to expand and learn more as Well as experience. I used volunteer at my locals stables to build up my my confidence.
I'm good at working on my own as well as working as part of a team. I'm good at working with horses I like to spend time with them and get to know them and work as a part of a team, have mutual respect. I can handle any type of horse from stallions to troubled horses, foals.
I like spending time with the horses and getting to know their personality, what are their pros and cons, what they like and don't like. Work with to overcome their fears and create an everlasting friendship. I work hard and never complain how many jobs are given, I work to the best standards. I'll always remain professional while on the job. I love to do natural horsemanship.
I can do basic riding but I would like to learn and expand my experience in the arena. I can hack out/ trekking I'm better at that as I am in a chilled environment and relaxed. My western riding is out of touch.
I only did in hand classes but I’m willing to compete if I show potential and someone willing to train me I will put in 100% effort.
