Riding, clipping, trimming, helping to run competitions, up keep of yard, mucking out, turning out
I have worked with horses for over 8 years first working at busy riding schools and then working at one of the top equine colleges in the UK. I have also done groom work at a showjumping yard and at a small family yard looking after eventers. At all jobs I have does various tasks but the main ones include riding, yard maintenance and chores, clipping and turning out horses for competition. I am very adaptable and will always get any job that needs doing done.
I can turn out to a high standard in plaiting and clipping and am very competent in all yard chores - I love a nice tidy yard. I am a very sympathetic and understanding person meaning I can get on with any personality with regards to horses and people. I love working in teams and am a very positive, happy person with a good sense of humour.
I am a confident rider and I am not fazed by any difficult or quirky horses. I can adapt quickly to each individual horse and get them going well. All the horses I have owned in the past have been young and I have had to start from basics to teach them the ropes. I have helped to start horses in the past and can lunge and long rein to a high standard.
I competed on bishop burtons BUCS team for 3 years helping the team qualify for regionals two years in a row and qualifying individually for the BUCS national championships in 2017. I have also competed my own horses in dressage and show jumping. I have also done a lot showing competing all over Scotland.
