I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.

I completed my college work experiences for 5 months at Oakley hunt Kennels and went onto working there after I finished college. I also worked personally for the hunt master riding his own selection of horses. I have assisted with the breaking in of horses from the ground work to ridden work. I have qualified on my level 1,2,3 pony racing days at the British racing school on their own horses. In the summer of 2019 I went to France as part of the Scottish polo-cross team as groom.
I enjoy turning the hunt horses out to a high standard. I pride myself with ensuring that the yard is kept clean and tidy at all times. I also adapt quickly to new environments and yard routines.
Most of my experience has come from the hunting field and team chasing although with my own horses have participated in show jumping and low level dressage.
Whilst at Moulton College I assisted with the organisation of show jumping and dressage events this included writing for dressage to organising that the competitors are in the arena on time.
