I have experience working with stallions, mares and foals, youngsters, including breaking young ponies. I have also brought on and work with ex-racers of my own. I am happy with any yard work or exercising if required. I have brought on young horses and competed in county-level showing and up to novice level dressage with animals I have started from scratch. I am currently working towards a Masters in Law but am doing this part time so am able to work full time, alongside working my own horse.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
Due to a change in circumstances I'm currently looking for a part time riding role, 4 mornings a week, but can be flexible. I have over 16 years experience within the industry and have produced horses from youngstock up to intermediate. I'm happy to work with all sorts, from happy hackers to fit competition horses. Quiet but firm rider, who can deal with quirks if necessary. Ideally within 30 mins of Newark but happy to travel up to an hour for the right place.
From Showjumping, to showing/eventing and foals through to stallions I have experience in all aspects of the equestrian world. I am looking for my next long term journey where I can spend my days working with the animals I love, and carry out my exceptionally high standards for the right person.
I do not have any equine related qualifications, but I am currently a first year student at the Royal Agricultural University studying International Agricultural and Equine Business Management.
I'm not currently employed, but I have previously worked as a groom/ camp counselor where I had basic yard duties alone and with others for the horses, other farm animals, and also watched and did basic coaching of children.
I have ridden for 13 years, but only formally worked for the yard for a year. I spent the summer as a counselor primarily, but when all other yard staff was on holiday I took care of the yard entirely on my own, including all the horses and other animals.
I have done some work with older horses who needed retraining for behavioral issues, but have primarily worked with children who were just beginning to ride. I work well in a group or alone, and can happily do the work needed to care for horses and keep the yard tidy. I also enjoy taking care of non-equine animals.
I have ridden problem and green horses before. I really only have experience on the flat, but I have ridden both English and Western.
I don't have much competition experience, but I have competed to low levels in Western and English pleasure, as well as trail.
