Due to a change in circumstances I'm currently looking for a part time riding role, 4 mornings a week, but can be flexible. I have over 16 years experience within the industry and have produced horses from youngstock up to intermediate. I'm happy to work with all sorts, from happy hackers to fit competition horses. Quiet but firm rider, who can deal with quirks if necessary. Ideally within 30 mins of Newark but happy to travel up to an hour for the right place.
From Showjumping, to showing/eventing and foals through to stallions I have experience in all aspects of the equestrian world. I am looking for my next long term journey where I can spend my days working with the animals I love, and carry out my exceptionally high standards for the right person.

I have 2 horses competing round newcomers and 2 youngsters that are newly ready to break. I also help on the yard with mucking out and exercising other horses etc.
I have owned horses since I was 7 I currently have 2. I have worked at a competition/livery/ridding school yard for almost 2 years and have gone from an apprentice groom to a competition rider for the lower level horses. Previous to this I worked at a backing/ livery yard for 3 days a week for 4 years around college. I used to help break all the pony’s as I was the smallest. I am always happy to learn new thing and looking to improve wherever I can
Riding, exercising and competing Mucking out Dealing with young or difficult horses on the ground and ridden Taking orders and working as a team Taking soul charge of the yard Can clip and plait to a high standard I am currently trying to do my hgv as it’s something I would love to have I’m currently on my theory test Can drive a 3.5tn lorry with 2 horses by myself happily Can drive a car and trailer, also have experience trying tractors and trailers on a farm so a very confident driver
I am currently riding 3 very quirky opinionated mares that are were green in the ring when I first took them on. I love a challenging horse and can sit a good buck and rear. Im a very confident rider and nothing really phases me. My preferred discipline is showjumping but I really enjoyed Going for regular dressage lessons on a advanced medium horses to improve my knowledge in flatwork.
Competition riding is what I enjoy the most, I enjoy grooming at competition too. When I started my job I used to groom for the rider all the time and then when I got the riding job I’d mostly do it all myself anyway. Can groom to a high standard and know a few tricks to get horse and rider looking smart I can plait and French braid forelocks and tails I can bandage well and under stand cooling the horse off after competing
