currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
Due to a change in circumstances I'm currently looking for a part time riding role, 4 mornings a week, but can be flexible. I have over 16 years experience within the industry and have produced horses from youngstock up to intermediate. I'm happy to work with all sorts, from happy hackers to fit competition horses. Quiet but firm rider, who can deal with quirks if necessary. Ideally within 30 mins of Newark but happy to travel up to an hour for the right place.
From Showjumping, to showing/eventing and foals through to stallions I have experience in all aspects of the equestrian world. I am looking for my next long term journey where I can spend my days working with the animals I love, and carry out my exceptionally high standards for the right person.
None.
All usual yard duties. Hacking and a bit of flatwork.
•I’ve been around horses since I was 6 •Had my own mare at age 11 until 14 where we competed low level showjumping (up to 95) for fun and did xc schooling for fun. •I then voluntarily worked on a family hunting yard where I got my first experience of ‘proper’ sport horses. They had around 20 horses ranging from foals-competition/hunt horses-nervy/badly started youngsters.Majority of the horses were very quirky in their own ways which gave me the confidence of handling and riding these sorts of horses. In this role I helped handle foals, rebacked a little 5 yro mare who had been sat on once and turned away for a while, and also got another horse who had come to us after a bad start in life out hunting for his first few days.It was a very varied role that gave me great confidence with horses. •I then went and worked on a top level showjumping yard where I was a home groom with the odd sit on one of their horses and rode a livery 5x a week. Here I learnt how to take care of top class sj
•All usual yard duties performed to high standard. •Patient with young/green/nervy horses
•Hacking •Flatwork •Would like to improve my riding and my jumping.
