Due to a change in circumstances I'm currently looking for a part time riding role, 4 mornings a week, but can be flexible. I have over 16 years experience within the industry and have produced horses from youngstock up to intermediate. I'm happy to work with all sorts, from happy hackers to fit competition horses. Quiet but firm rider, who can deal with quirks if necessary. Ideally within 30 mins of Newark but happy to travel up to an hour for the right place.

I have experience working with stallions, mares and foals, youngsters, including breaking young ponies. I have also brought on and work with ex-racers of my own. I am happy with any yard work or exercising if required. I have brought on young horses and competed in county-level showing and up to novice level dressage with animals I have started from scratch. I am currently working towards a Masters in Law but am doing this part time so am able to work full time, alongside working my own horse.

-Planned and correctly set out boardrooms for companies intending to use them. Aided in setting up large function rooms for events, and made sure they run smoothly. Worked independently and making decisions to ensure the smooth running of events.
I started a work placement at a riding school in 2019 for 2 weeks. At the end of my placement I was offered a job working there part time whilst I finished my studies. Within the three years of working there, I was promoted quite quickly and given important responsibilities such as training the horses and the responsibility to unlock and close up the yard. I worked alongside my senior trainer to rehabilitate horses as well as bring youngstock into work.
I recently did a trial period for an apprenticeship at a stud farm in Preston, here I got the opportunity to work alongside stallions and broodmares whilst doing the normal day to day yard responsibilities. I subsequently decided the apprenticeship was not what i was looking for.
Between the ages of 12 and 16 I loaned a 14.2 arab pony at livery and riding yard in Bury. Here I learnt all the necessary responsibilities of caring for a horse and spent my weekends and holidays at that yard.
Can competently lead and turnout stallions, employing attention to detail to minimise potential injuries Maintained daily feeding schedule, adhering to strict dietary requirements. Regularly inspected horses to identify signs of ill health, swiftly reporting issues and treating minor ailments and injuries Prepared the horses for training sessions following individually tailored training programmes Led horses to and from stables and fields, employing attention to detail to minimise injuries
Can competently walk, trot and canter a horse and take on smaller jumps. Worked with a senior trainer to rehabilitate problem horses, via both ridden and groundwork. As I have a petite build, I was put on the smaller problem ponies. Worked alongside a senior trainer to bring young horses and ponies into work, both groundwork and ridden. Due to greater responsibilities at my stables job, I was one of the few people who could work with the youngstock as they were rather unpredictable.
Prepared horses and ponies for local competitions. Aided in their training preparation. Loaded for transport, and planned logistics and supplies to meet horse travel needs.
