I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.

Since sept. 2011 i started law school at the university of Groningen in Holland. And i also work as a waitress now and than.
In august 2008 I worked 3 months at an endurance yard(AUS,QLD). Main dutys were excercising the horses and strep at races. At that stable I also road some young horses to prepair them for their training. Beginning December till end of februar i worked as a groom at an eventing stable(AUS,NSW). Main dutys were feeding and cleaning. I exercised some horses and got a german dressage horse to train myself. On both stable they had a breeding program whitch i learned a lot of. I learned to handel stallions and little silly foals. Since 2009 i'm riding some private horses some who are just been broken in and other a little older. Mostly dressage with some showjumping lately. I'm also very lucky, living 5 min. from the beach, so i also do some trail riding ones or twice a week.
I like to ride out of a relaxing of the horse. I like to first work on a base of relaxness and straightness. Doesn't matter what kind of disipline you want to start in. Even on a trailride i think the base is important. I know most about dressage, but i can jump as wel. Love endurance because it takes a lot of health care knowledge and planning.
Riding for more than 20 years now. Mainly private horses. i road some young horses who just been broken in. A lot of trail riding I've also made a couple of horses traffic/road-proof witch i really liked to do. I've ridden some competions in dressage(L2) and showjumping (B).
I think the thing i like the most is getting a horse its trust i gues. It makes them change witch i love to see. They need consistency and clear and fair boundry's/leadership i think.
Last summer i did dressage competitions. Within a half a year we were riding L2. While she was only 6 months broken in. Unfortunaly the horse was sold before we could get any further. Before that i strept some international endurance races and eventing competitions in Australia. And at home some grooming for friends and family at national competitions. Did some showjumping and eventing in my pony-time. Just started competing in showjumping again.
