I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
I don't have any qualifications other than a deep love for horses and a strong will to learn as much as I can. I really want the opportunity to work around horses and learn from those who are more experienced. I ride decently well and believe I have a good horse sense. I understand how to work hard and will have no issue with the tougher parts of working in a barn.
I am currently working as an au pair in the south of France on a small horse farm. My main duties have been to look after the two girls (11 and 12 years old) and their 7 horses, donkey, cat and dog.
I rode as a young child for several years then took a break while I pursued my swimming career and university. During university, I volunteered with an equine therapy barn for children with disabilities. My main duties there were to clean and feed, and occasionally exercise the horses both on the ground and in the saddle. I also helped the instructors with their students who had limited motor skills by walking alongside the horse or leading it while the instructor taught.
I am currently an au pair for a family on a horse farm. I feed the horses and look after the farm and the house. The horses live nearly always outside so I do not do a lot of mucking out. I helped my host mom with her stallion and mare during the breeding process.
In my future, I hope to be a coach to young athletes. I have done a lot of work coaching/teaching people of all ages from 5 year olds to senior citizens. While it was mostly sport and exercise related, I believe I work well with people and understand how others learn. I believe I am a fast learner myself and a hard worker and I am eager to have the most educational experience possible while helping you with your daily work.
I have ridden and English and western saddles. I have never competed but have done basic dressage work and small jumps. I have a strong interest in horsemanship and learning how to create meaningful relationships of trust with horses.
