Learning Opportunity: Develop skills desirable in all fields of the professional horse world. Skills covered from handling, bodywork, and groundwork to Equine First Aid, teaching, longeing, course setting, management and more. Days will be spent learning directly from equine professional mentors to gain real world experience and build a strong resume. Apprentices will receive a Certificate of Completion as well as a Letter of Recommendation from a program director at the completion of this program.
Requirements
Qualifications: Ideal candidates for the Equine Professional Apprentice program are the following:
Age 16 or older by the beginning of their time here Have a desire to develop spiritually as well as in life skills Have a love for horses and youth Be eager for personal growth Be in good physical condition Displays strong riding foundation with basic balanced position (Level 2 CHA riding certificate, Pony Club D-2 rating or equivalent). Send three recommendation letters: one from a Christian Worker, one from a Teacher, and one from a Personal Friend who is over 18 years old.
June 15-July 16, 2026 (Break: June 22-25) Price $1500 Includes: 4-weeks of apprenticeship experience, spiritual mentoring and professional development, with the opportunity to qualify for an additional 4-weeks of mentored practicum at no additional cost.

Each Equine Professional Apprentice must have the ability to commute Mon-Thurs. Participants over 18 years of age, may arrange on-site accommodations. You would have a Cabin shared with others and access to bath houses. On a case-by-case basis, we may allow a horse to come with you if prior arranged.

Equestrian Employer Details
Warm Beach Horsemanship runs a year-round lesson program as a CHA accredited facility and a United States Pony Club Riding Center. The program runs in conjunction with Warm Beach Camp and Conference Center. Warm Beach Horsemanship serves clients through ministry, volunteering, lessons, camps, and clinics. The facility is home to several programs, in addition to camps, lessons, and Pony Club; Warm Beach Horsemanship has an Equine Professional Apprenticeship and participates in the Certified Horsemanship Association's Region 1 network. The instructors and trainers on site share passion for equestrian education, horse training, and industry professionalism.
