Searching for a working student or apprentice for a professional dressage training and breeding operation located in Hutto, Texas! Cadence Ranch is home to head trainer Christine Calao (USDF Gold) and assistant trainer Andrea Adkins (USDF Silver). We strive to create strong, healthy, and happy athletes in our horses and clients. We take the well-being of the horse very seriously and want to help our horse and rider combinations grow and blossom to their greatest potential!
First off, what we can offer YOU! •Housing in 2br 1ba apartment •Board for 1 horse if needed •1 private lesson minimum a day on your horse or ours •access to several school masters from 3rd level to GP •many riding opportunities depending on your skill set (helping start youngsters and keeping school horses in tune) •goal setting and planning!! We want to help you achieve your goals! •showing and clinic opportunities! •stipend negotiable depending on your needs!
Now, what we need from you! Including but not limited to: •hours currently M-F 4:30am- roughly 4pm. •feed/water/hay •very light stall cleaning (most horses live outside) •medication distribution •bringing horses in to be ridden •grooming and tacking up horses •taking horses after they are ridden to be cooled off •keep tack/kitchen/ bathroom/ barn area clean •help farrier/ vet/chiropractor/ body worker •clean pastures as needed •help with organization and show preparedness

Requirements
Good communication skills are a must and the ability to be self sufficient and motivated. We don’t want to micromanage our staff but if you don’t understand something please voice that so we can avoid confusion.

Cadence Ranch is a professional dressage training and breeding business located in Hutto, Texas; about 45 minutes from downtown Austin. Carefully curated by head trainer, Christine Calao (USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold medalists) and assistant trainer Andrea Adkins (USDF Bronze and Silver medalists). Our beautiful facility is located on 50+ acres of prime real estate along the San Gabriel River which allows for beautifully green fields which is uncommon for this area.
Cadence Ranch specializes in classical dressage training and producing horses from youngsters to the FEI levels. We host several events each year for our local GMO’s and provide access to a number of successful clinicians. We pride ourselves on our very inclusive and supportive social environment where everyone feels welcome and is ready to share in each other’s journeys and successes!
