Ideal candidate must be fit and experienced enough to sit on breaking horses with your advisor and ground person. Must have fully independent hand/ excellent balance/ solid basics/ good seat.You already need to have an inherent softness in your riding style, but not be passive. It's not what I'm looking for and will have to rule you out. We are primarily a hunter barn. I am happy to teach you how to ride hunters, but you need to show me you are the clay I can mold.

This is an INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY for someone considering a career in horses, but not yet ready for a trainer position. This is the riding internship that everyone wants, but is SO hard to find. This is what employers want to see on a resume.

This is an internship. Wage is housing plus $400/mo food stipend. Once paid intern spot is filled, we do offer one additional unpaid spot.

Would also be happy to work with someone local on a part time basis.
