Looking for dedicated, quiet, experienced horse person for GFAS accredited 501(c) (3) non profit sanctuary, caring for 8 horses and 7 donkeys. Reliability and maturity are musts. Days required are Fridays 10-4 , Saturdays 7:30-11:30, Sundays 7:30-4 and Mondays 10-4. Duties include: feeding, watering, grooming, equine first aid, picking stalls and pastures,. I require a caretaker whose FIRST priority is the animals. All animals are treated with utmost kindness and respect

Reliability. Promptness. Dedication to put the animals first! I require an employee that, though perhaps experienced, does not insert their experience into the way we interact with the equines here, unless asked. So-called “disciplining” of the equines is not part of our dynamic. They are rescues who have come a long way with patience and understanding, not “discipline”. We enjoy experiences together not “results”. Safety first for both humans and equines in an at-liberty environment. Ability for infrequent overnight farm sitting a plus.

For any overnight farm sitting, there is a studio loft apartment available.

Pay that will be raised based on longevity and merit. A quiet, low key atmosphere with availability of full kitchen, 3 bathrooms and 2 hot water showers, plus air-conditioning in pleasant employee break area. Owner's horses only, no boarders.
