We are a boarding, training, and sales facility based in Hainesport, NJ from May through Oct and Wellington, FL from Nov through April, with an active horse show schedule in the Northeast and Florida. We are looking for a self-motivated, organized, and professional individual to help oversee the daily operations of our hunter/jumper program.
Responsibilities: • Managing and overseeing barn staff • Managing and interacting with clients in a professional and courteous manner • Assisting with billing and barn administration • Coordinating and scheduling veterinarians, farriers, and other horse care appointments • Making feed and ensuring horses’ daily needs are met • Managing inventory and keeping the barn fully stocked with hay, feed, bedding, medications, and supplies • Keeping barn charts, management materials, and horse records organized and up to date • Maintaining accurate records for horses, schedules, medications, and appointments • Using Apple programs and technology efficiently for organization and communication • Ensuring the facility runs efficiently and smoothly day-to-day • Grooming at home and horse shows when needed • Flat riding horses when needed • Driving truck and trailer when needed • Administering medications including IV and IM injections when necessary
Requirements: • Prior experience managing a professional horse barn • Strong organizational and communication skills • Ability to lead staff and maintain a positive team environment • Comfortable administering IV and IM injections • Comfortable using Apple programs and technology for scheduling, communication, and record keeping • Valid driver’s license required • Ability to drive a truck and trailer preferred • Professional, reliable, and courteous at all times • Experience in the hunter/jumper industry preferred
Please note: • No housing available in Wellington at this time • Housing available in New Jersey and while traveling to summer horse shows.
