We are currently offering a position as groom on a private family yard near Hungerford to join our existing team.

The stables consist of 18 loose boxes situated on a magnificently purpose-built yard. This is currently accommodating 8 horses consisting of a healthy mixture of TBs and cobs as well as some small ponies - accommodation is available if required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES • The successful applicant will care for the horses maintaining good health and identifying potential health issues • Have sound knowledge of veterinary skills and first aid • Assist vets, chiropractor, dentist and farrier • Show a comprehensive form of reporting any issues to the Head Girl • Ensure stables and all surrounding areas are clean and tidy • Sound knowledge of tacking up • A competent rider • Paddock maintenance • Assisting the rides on group hacks

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS • Confident, good standard of riding • A good level of experience in clipping, trimming and turning out to a high standard • Full driving licence • Towing a Cheval4 box trailer (training may be obtained on site) • UKCC Level 2 • BHSQ Level 2 Riding and Care preferred
