The rider groom role at Collective Equestrian involves both yard work as well as schooling and exercising. There are approximately 30 horses in training at our stables and our rider grooms are assigned horses to progress through their training. Whilst there are opportunities to help with older and more advanced horses, most of the riding work is centred on our younger horses. Beyond training at home, there are competition opportunities on younger horses at novice and in age classes.
Top class facilities including indoor and outdoor arenas, monarch stables within two american barns. Fantastic newly refurbished accommodation on site. Range of horses on site from youngsters to international Grand Prix dressage.
All usual yard duties involved as well as hacking and lungeing.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Experience and confidence with young horses
- Ability to confidently start horses under saddle both as a rider and as an assistance from the ground.
- Knowledge of advanced movements and have an understanding of how to lay the foundations in early years training.
- Experience of riding tests and composure when at shows
- Confidence when riding high spirited horses
- Good time management
