Stud farm based on 800 acres. We are looking for a self motivated person experienced in starting/backing our youngsters. Our homebred youngsters are of show cob size and hunters so are mostly of a quiet disposition. Someone that prides themselves in making a good job - we don't want a production line putting unnecessary pressure on our horses. The horses will be sold as all rounder riding club types. The owner of the yard specialises in natural horsemanship so empathy to these methods would be desired but good horsemanship skills are definitely a requirement. We use a round pen system and then try to get the horses hacking out - going forward before schooling in a confined area. We like to take the time it takes and pride ourselves in producing quality, safe, happy horses. Some more details can be seen on the yards FB pages - Ardmedden Horses, Ardmedden Equestrian and Natural Horse Training , Ardies Club and Ardmedden Farm Ride.

Being competent at long reining would be useful. Also basic foot trimming would be an advantage although we have a farrier regularly attending the yard it is good for the youngsters to be gradually introduced to having their feet done.
