Small private competition yard near Cooma, NSW is looking for an experienced groom/rider to work with a small team of young Event/SJ horses. Only one role is available. Duties: • Grooming & daily horse care • Exercising and schooling young horses (good flatwork required) • Competition & sale prep • Stable, paddock & property maintenance • Regular travel to Events and Shows You must: ✔ Be an experienced, capable rider ✔ Be organised and able to work on your own ✔ Have good spoken English ✔ Be currently living in Australia ✔ Have your own car (property is 30km from town) Great role for someone who enjoys working independently with quality young horses and travelling to competitions. Equestrian Employer Details
We are a family owned sheep farm in Southern NSW near Cooma on the shores of Lake Eucumbene. I have previously evented up to 5 star level internationally and now retrain ex racehorses to event and breed/produce Sporthorses for sale. Also I am an EA Level 2 Eventing Specialist coach. I have about 4-6 horses in work at a time and they live out in paddocks all year round. I have a sand dressage and a large jumping arena for training and 6000 acres to ride over. Frequently we travel to shows and events throughout NSW and Victoria.
