I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
I have a lot of experience working at a barn, with the horses , with horse people, and clients. I have also have a lot of riding experience in a variety of disciplines, I take direction well and I am very organized, I can explain things in simple terms to new riders, can answer many questions about horses and how or why they may be acting the way that they are, I am able to demonstrate certain parts of riding and assist in the lessons in a way that won't interfere, comfortable with horses.
I have done lots of grooming, riding, some training, working with young horses, cleaning barns, dressage riding, jumping, trail riding, working at at therapy barn where I helped train in the volunteers, work with the young horses, working with client
I have a lot of equine experience. I owned for ten years and donated because of schooling. Lots of trail riding, some jumping, some dressage, natural horsemanship, worked at a special needs barn, volunteered at another, working student, riding lessons for years, showing, training, working with young horses, helping with lessons, giving lessons to special need riders, cleaning the barn, helping at shows, taking clinics, being a working student at a low level dressage barn, overseeing that several horses are tacked and ready for the lessons on time and that the tack is put on properly and helping other people when it comes to training. I was able to help train my horse to work through his fear of trailers. Was able to desensitize him enough that I could ride him with just a rope and halter, ride with a tarp over his face and on his back, able to get him to feel comfortable backing up and working with him and young riders.
I have a lot of experience working with horses, natural horsemanship, grooming, trying to learn more about chiropractics, done work with therapy horses and riders, saddling quickly and grooming quickly, have given lessons at a special needs barn, helping with the vet and farrier, riding some of the naughty horses, conditioning for lesson horses, riding horses for multiple disciplines, fence work, cleaning tack, cleaning brushes, assisting in lessons, demonstrating some of the riding techniques
I have done many different types of riding. I prefer to do English but I am very comfortable in riding Western or bareback. I have ridden a variety of different horses. I have ridden young horses who are still green and very well trained horses. I also have done some dressage, jumping, barrel racing, pole bending, trail and cross country. I have done a lot of riding lessons in both English and Western, given lessons to both riders in English and Western.
I don't have a lot of competition because of where I live. Living in a small town hasn't given many chances. I have shown in the local shows and done very well in them placing in the top three in almost every class I have done a show in Blue Earth MN and placed 5 out of 20 when I was 12 in Youth Walk/Trot. Have ridden other peoples horses in the local show and have done well on them as well as my own horse, helped train horses in for showing.
