I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
B.A. in Equine Management (also majored in psychology and animal behavior, in hopes of working more with Equine Assisted Therapy). Been training horses professionally for 5+ years. I have managed a horse rescue for 2+ years. Extensive experience caring for horses and comfortable with all daily tasks (cleaning, feeding, turning-out, exercising, etc.) as well as caring for injured or ill horses (initially went to school to become a veterinarian).
I work primarily as a freelance horse trainer, training for a variety of barns as well as individuals locally. I also run a horse rescue where we take in unwanted horses, providing the care and training necessary to rehabilitate and adopt them out.
I am a Natural Horsemanship trainer who specializes in starting horses under-saddle as well as rehabilitating abused and/or neglected horses. I have worked under multiple trainers around the world and have experience training everything from show horses needing a tune-up to gentling wild mustangs. I am comfortable handling stallions and really enjoy introductory ground-work with foals too. My favorite training case is probably the anxious or untouched horse.
Having grown up around horses and being the manager of a barn, I am also very comfortable with the daily handling and care of horses. I have some experience teaching children and working with individuals with disabilities and hope to have more, as well as my PATH certification, down the road.
Handling young stock, starting horses under-saddle, rehabilitation of neglected horses, stable management, equine first aid, sole care, and working with children.
Taught myself to ride when I was young and embraced any work-exchange or other opportunity to be around a horse. Briefly got into jumping while riding for my high school team and have competed a few times in Endurance races. However, my true passion lies in training horses. The majority of my time riding is spend working with green horses. I have also worked as a trail guide/wrangler and have some experience teaching children how to ride.
My only competitive experience is in Endurance Riding, which I have done a little of while working in CA and loved.
