I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.

I worked for a small family ranch of three horses, in 2005 through 2010. Although we have lost contact. I was to help care, and groom the horses, for lessons, and also to compete in Western.
From 2007 to 2010, I had four horses of my own. There I learned the proper way to balance a healthy diet, with an active horse. I also learned more about the responsibility of owning horses.
2007 to 2010: I was in 4H. There I was able to learn to judge animals. I was also able to compete in small 4H competitions.
2007 to 2010: I barreled raced and pole bended, on two different horses. One was my own, while the other was one of a member of the family I worked for.
2011-2012, I volunteered at a vet clinic. There I was able to gain more experience working with smaller animals. I cleaned cages, and also I would help with surgery.
