I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
high school graduate, 11 months of time serving in Estonian Army. No paper, but have experience with working young horses and/or problemed ones.
My main job has been: riding young horses and starting them under saddle, so they would be ready for being sold. Had to teach children age 7-12 how to ride and keep an eye on them. Rode different horses, in different countries.
Learn every time I ride horses. I like when horses teach me. I read a lot. Most of my riding has come from books (Alois Podhajsky - is my book teacher, and goes well with my riding point of view). Have never had a trainer for more than 3 months (I live in South, don't have trainers there). Now (2017) I started riding in new club, where I have trainer, who gives me advise. I try to give about 110% of myself. I have finished 80 hour course of study about saddleing and training youngster (I have a diploma, but it is in Estonian).
I have been riding from the year 1999. Have done all sort of stable work- ride young horses, mocking out, hacking, dealing with the tourists. Working with young(1-5year old) horses, training, lunging. Rode with different breed and problemed horses. I have worked in Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, England, Finland and in Canada. For videos and more Q, contact me. I have a Belgian Shepherd Malinois (born 2016) and will not travel without her, she is my strenght and my partner.
I do a lot of ground work (lunging and jumps on lunge) with horses, before I start working in the saddle. In saddle, I ride horses forward and work to get a good rythm, before I start doing anything else. My idea is having a horse with good basic training and from there, they trust the rider and learn fast. They have more courage to go and do scary things ;)
Mostly experience in smaller classes (~100cm), because of young horses. With older ones (if I have had chance to ride them) up to 120cm courses. I'm eager to learn and get more experiences in competitions.
