Stall cleaning, trail rides, tack and taking care of the property of the barn.
The first time of having an Equine Job was 18 years of age. I learned a lot about horse care, management, people, riding and patience. I worked in the Equine Field (Western Riding) for 5 years and then I went on an adventure to Korea to teach for 4 1/2 years. That being said, I lost a good chunk of education from the Equine Field. Which is why I started from the bottom; cleaning stalls and being comfortable around horses, all the while being re-educated about horses.
Currently, I have two part time jobs and they both deal with common sense and social skills. The jobs that I am currently employed are awesome, but I feel like they are at there limit with educating me. I am the type of person where I love learning and always eager to try something new.
