I have leadership experience, as I was a member of Washington State 4-H, and was a leader in my club. I have work experience in the food industry, which means that I have experience working with people and have strong communication skills.
I am a student at Washington State University and a member of the Washington State University Equestrian team. I am currently a biology major and also ride three or more times a week as well as compete for the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association
I have been riding for approximately nine years and have owned my own horse for about eight. I have taken western horsemanship lessons from an AQHA trainer for four years, and have been a member of the Washington State University Equestrian team for two years where I have been taking both western and hunsteat lessons. I compete for my university at IHSA shows, as well as Open, Breed, and Schooling shows in my area when I am at home and not at university. My grandfather is a veterinarian and I have learned from him how to properly care for a horse for all of the years that I have been riding.
I ride both western and huntseat and primarily focus on equitation. I am learning how to jump and hope to start competing at IHSA in the over fences classes next year.
I mainly do equitation riding, in both western and huntseat disciplines. I also have experience in showmanship/halter, and trail riding. I am currently in the process of learning and improving my jumping.
I have competed at local Breed, Open, and Schooling shows in Washington State. I am a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Washington State Horseman, and the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. I show my own horse at Breed, Open, and Schooling shows. At University, I catch ride at competitions for IHSA in both western and hunsteat.
