Equine Work Experience
I have been involved in the equine industry for over 17 years. I spent the majority of my time catch riding horses throughout my junior years and showing on my local show circuit. I was fortunate to be able to take my privately owned horse with me to college and rode on the IHSA team. Upon graduation, I began to train horses professionally at the barn where I boarded my own horse. I chose to pursue my education and began my Master's Degree in Educational Studies at Lynchburg College in the Fall of 2015 where I also became the graduate assistant to the riding program. During my experience as a GA, I recruited prospective students for the program and the IHSA team, taught riding lessons for the college, and was the direct liaison for the riding program for the admission's office, athletic director, and director of riding. I have continued to ride, show, and train horses throughout my studies.
