I have extensive experience in basic equine first aid, feeding, day to day care, grooming, and riding/training. I am a business management major with a minor in coaching and have a love for the administrative side as well as helping riders grow into the horseman they strive to be. Working on a farm throughout high school has taught me the ins and outs of farm care as well as time management and excellent problem solving and people skills.
I am currently and undergraduate student working towards graduation in May of 2018. I am looking to eventually hold a career in the equine industry and am looking for the stepping stone to get me there. I have competed in the local Virginia hunter/jumper circuit and am currently a member of the IHSA team at the College of Charleston. I have worked in a barn since I was 12 years old and have a passion for the care of the animals and the industry. I have not competetd on the A circuit but is something I am very interested in and am looking for a way to get myself there. I have a naturally competetive nature but simply have not been surrounded by the resources to compete at that level. I hope to gain this experience through a working student position.
People skills, accounting knowledge, riding/teaching/barn management, equine and human first aid, time management.
I am 4'9" so was a catch rider and pony jock for the majority of my junior career. I have sat on many green ponies/horses and pride myself in being a fairly soft rider. However, I lack the competitive experience and hope to gain that and expand my riding ability. Have experience in mostly hunter/jumper, local equitation.
I competed on the local Virginia circuit for upwards of eight years on may different mounts from the pony hunters to the greens and children's/adult.
