I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
Over 20 years experience riding and caring for horses.
I rode mostly hunter/jumper growing up. Owned my own horses and studied a Parelli Natural Horsemanship. My groom experience was in Holland working with polo horses. I was responsible for the feeding, grooming, exercising, and the overall care of 12 horses, six days a week. Picked up and delivered required supplies, maintained horse stalls, tack, and barn, assisted with transporting the horses to various locations in the local area, and performed all other duties required to maintain the horses in excellent health, in all weather conditions. Along with my experience with polo horses, I also have many years of experience riding, training, caring for, and competing endurance horses. I have over 250 miles of competitive miles with the American Endurance Riding Conference (AERC) and too many to count of training miles. This experience has helped in my ability to spot lameness, colic, and metabolic issues. I also have some experience handling stallions and youngsters.
Hunter/Jumper, Polo, Endurance
AERC member with over 250 competitive endurance miles.
