I originally became mesmerized with horses from my mother who gave up western riding when I was born. Being raised with her towering gelding made my desire to ride permanent as I began riding with friends and working at a local horse ranch that my mother knew. I eventually began leading trail rides and assisting in loading horses as well as tack for show days (In which I also competed to prove my lessons valuable). Once a young adult, I left the horses, if for only a while before I found my way back! Riding and learning have become such a great passion for me. I have now expanded my learning and desires towards trimming hooves in a natural style, and towards horse health. While continually building my leadership and communication skills given by my mother and 4-H. I have dressed arenas and cleaned stalls for two separate facilities now and I am currently studying the science behind the plow and water hose.
Animal husbandry, Extensive Ag equipment experience to heavy loaders, time management skills, decisive decision making, professional attitude and style, base knowledge of horse nutrition and supplements, dressing arenas and a desire to take pride in what I have and can accomplish with what I'm given.
I originally started into western pleasure and came into "true" working horses as I gained responsibility at my first barn (by this I refer to horses that may be used to drag posts, open gates and hold them, sort horses etc..). I have been striving to maintain my riding abilities and learn more. I have had the pleasure of attempting English riding also. Perhaps my best times have been with the NATRC as a safety rider and while leading groups thru trails (Not to knock the show ring any).
Honestly I was in a smaller association, but maintained in the top five on a yearly basis in standings.
