Though I am young, I have been around horses all my life. I improved my training methods by observing natural behaviors in horses. I am observant, positive, have great experience with children, a great listener, and an exceptionally hard worker.
BHS Stage 3
Equine Work Experience
I have been riding horses since I was 5 years old. I have ridden Western and, Rodeo, but mostly English. I started training my own horses at the age of 12, and have trained horses for others since I was 16. I also started giving lessons to children at the age of 16. I helped out with the local 4-H group, and was a lesson provider during their ridding meetings. More recently, I have been volunteering at a therapeutic ridding stable. I have worked with many types of people, doing many types of activities.
I am a hard worker. I have experience with other farm animals as well. I have had a lot of experience with children and love teaching them things about horses. I have served as a therapeutic riding aid, helping people with autism, visual impairments, mental disorders, and physical disabilities.
Type of Ride Work
I started riding English and that is where I have spent most of my time in the saddle. I did do rodeo for a bit, which allowed me to ride Western a bit. I also competed in trail class. I also have experience working with Miniature Horses.
I competed in English classes most of my life both in flat work and in jumping.
I have done a bit of Western Pleasure here and there along with trail class.
I competed in the Rodeo some as well. I participated in barrel racing, pole racing, cutback, and keyhole.
I also have Miniature Horse experience. I showed in carting and trail classes my entire 4-H career. I also competed in the Mini jumping class.
