I am currently working on a ranch as a horse trainer/exerciser and ranch hand. My daily duties include but are not limited to riding, exercising and training horses, taking horses to vet and administering any medications, and helping the farrier.
I am 21, I grew up on ranch and have been involved daily with horses. As a teenager I was active in 4-H Horse Club, Equestrian Drill Team, and Vet Science programs. Every weekend was a rodeo or competiton or clinic of some kind. At 15 years old I began working as a rider and ranch hand at JP Ranch. During this time, I also began starting my own colts under saddle and discovered I liked how they were turning out.
When I aged out of 4-H at 18, I entered my first Extreme Mustang Makeover Competiton and fell in love with it. This taught me how to be more thorough in my colt starting. I have entered the makeovers every year since 2015.
In 2017 I began adopting out mustangs through the TIP Program. During this time I have also trained and sold quarter horses, taught beginner lessons, and completed and 8 month farrier apprenticeship.
