I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
I am currently a CHA certified instructor in both english/jumping and western riding. I am also certified in first aid and CPR.
Manage herds of 70+ horses, hire train, and supervise year round and seasonal equine employees. Create and implement programs. Supervise entire equestrian operation and all stable management.
I was incredibly lucky to grow showing and training through APHA and PtHA. My first equine job was as the director of a small equestrian summer camp during my college career. From there, I went on to direct a large equine operation with over 70 horses and 350k worth of budget responsibility. My next venture brought me to Nashville, TN where I was able to start and grow a year round equestrian camp facility that grew by 100k in the first operating year. I have a great deal of experience working with young horses and turning project horses over relatively quickly for a profit.
Managing large herds and equestrian facilities, working with young and problem horses, supervising staff, and creating and implementing excellent and efficient barn management practices. Training horses for show or resale.
Most of my experience is with hunt and stock type horses, although i grew up with an aunt who bred, trained, and showed pleasure and saddle type horses, so have experience with them as well. I saw great success showing in numerous disciplines including, but not limited to, hunter under saddle, western pleasure, contesting, hunters, and also have experience with dressage.
I grew up showing in both APHA and PtHA along with various levels of open showing. I have received numerous Register of Merits, Certificates of Ability, and Certificates of Achievement. I am a three time Indiana State Champion in Hunter Under Saddle, Hunter Hack, and Hunter Type Halter. I've been ranked first in the nation in both Hunter type classes and contesting classes for PtHA.
